Somatic & Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy
You Already Understand the Pattern. Now It’s Time to Change It.
For driven adults who are tired of overthinking, overfunctioning, and repeating the same relationship patterns. Experience therapy that goes beyond talking and helps you work with what is happening in the moment.
No horse experience required. Riding is not the focus.
Who this work is for
When Knowing Better Still Doesn’t Change the Pattern
Most people who come here are capable, thoughtful, and self-aware. They have read the books, done the reflecting, and can explain their behavior clearly. They know they should set boundaries, stop people-pleasing, slow down, or respond differently.
Then stress arrives, and the nervous system returns to what it knows. Insight alone rarely rewires that response.
- You carry everyone else's responsibilities.
- You replay conversations and second-guess yourself.
- You say yes when you want to say no.
- You shut down or become overwhelmed during conflict.
- You understand the pattern but cannot seem to interrupt it.
Therapy at Stable Relationships gives you somewhere to feel those patterns as they happen and practice a different response in real time—not just describe one.
Primary Service — Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy
This Isn’t About Learning to Ride. It’s About Learning to Relate.
Horses respond honestly to boundaries, body language, emotional congruence, trust, and connection. They do not respond to the version of you that performs well in a meeting. That immediate, unfiltered feedback surfaces patterns that can stay hidden in conversation—and gives you something concrete to work with while it is happening.

- Riding is not required.
- No previous horse experience is needed.
- Sessions may involve observing, approaching, grooming, leading, or simply being near a horse.
- The horse is part of the therapeutic process, not a recreational activity.
- Every activity is guided by Amanda and adapted to your comfort level.
The work stays centered on relationship: how you approach, how you ask, what happens in your body when you are unsure, and what changes when you are clear.

About Amanda Stransky
Direct, Human Therapy for People Ready to Do Deeper Work
Amanda combines clinical training with an honest, relational style. She will name what she notices, ask the question you were hoping to avoid, and stay with an uncomfortable moment when staying is what creates change. That happens inside a relationship built on respect and your own pacing—challenge without pressure.
She teaches the next generation of counselors and brings the same clarity to her own practice: no jargon, no performance, and no pretending that insight by itself is enough.
- Natural Lifemanship trained
- Trained in Bioenergetic Analysis
- Adjunct professor, counseling master's programs at Point Loma Nazarene University and National University
- Woman-owned practice
- A+ BBB rating

Stable Relationships is a Christian-affiliated practice. Faith is part of Amanda’s own life and is available in the work if you want it. You are welcome here whatever you believe, and sharing her beliefs is never a requirement for care.
